Both. The support offered by the Duo-Loc ankle brace can prevent ankle injuries as well as provide support for previous injuries.

Won't I be able to feel the buckle on the strap?
Not at all. We have strategically placed the small buckle for the patented Duo-Loc strap so that it is positioned in an area where, even with high-tops on, you won't feel the buckle.

How can I continue to play sports if the Duo-Loc offers so much support?
The materials used to make the Duo-Loc ankle brace are sturdy, yet flexible. The key is in the patented non-elastic strap. Increases in inversion force are met with the counterforce of the strap. So, when injury-producing forces are applied to the ankle, the brace stops the ankle from rolling.
